After a long time, I called SBI Credit Card customer support phone line. I ended up with a pleasant surprise. The wait time (after I wanted to speak to the customer service representative) is less than half a minute. My address change request is taken in about a minute and half. And then comes the best part. I am transfered to an IVRS to give feedback on the call. I am asked to rate my experience on a scale of 1-5 on factors like wait time, time it took for transaction, time it took while on hold, etc. Cool. You can easily guess what rating I gave to them.
BTW, they are going to do a address check before they eventually update the record. That is a good security feature too.
