Modi Reloaded

The majority with which Modi got re-elected in the state of Gujarat is surprising. That win is almost like a clean sweep of opposition as well as dissidence. I think the development efforts by him in the last few years really helped him win back the elections. Moreover, his opponents gave him an extra boost by marking him as their target and/or by trying to project him as a staunch religion-centric politician.

For sure the results are going to change the political scenario in the country in the short term (say two years) including the time of the next general elections. That is going to be a side effect bigger than the direct effect. :-).

Would he be a reloaded shot gun now? Would he stay on course with his stern and definitive agenda of development? Let us see.
