Its good to see a nice review from NWC on Sun’s Sun Fire v40z server. A few quick thoughts based on the review:
- None of the qaulitative aspects of the server are complained about. The fan noise is the primary complaint the reviewer had. That means the server really rocks! IMHO, fan noise is not a prime factor for lab/datacenter grade servers.
- Its good to see that HyperTransport technology is put into a good use for achieving great throughput on this server.
